Eversource helicopters to fly "lower than normal" over service territory

NORWALK -

Eversource Energy is alerting residents their helicopters will be flying "lower than normal" over their service territory, but it's nothing to worry about.

The company says the helicopters are taking an overhead look of their power lines to see how they fared in last week's storm.

Eversource is also taking stock of any damage done to trees on its property.

The flights are scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through the rest of the week.
