A Bronx cab driver says he's lucky to be alive Friday after being stabbed by a passenger.
Police say Marcos Rivera drove a passenger to East 134th Street and Lincoln Avenue. They say the passenger, who can be seen on video from the cab's dashboard camera, took out a knife and stabbed Rivera in the neck.
Rivera says his first instinct was to run. He says he made the right decision and fears that if he hadn't run his injuries would have been worse.
The attacker left behind two ski masks, a do-rag and a cap.
Rivera says he doesn't think his attacker was after money because he never asked for any. He says he is just happy to be alive.
Police are still searching for the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
