Two people were arrested in Bridgeport after one of them shot at a police officer Wednesday morning, according to Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez.
The two suspects, who have not yet been identified, were arrested on Noble Street near Arctic Street.
Perez says the incident began around 9:45 a.m. One officer who was with others on an overtime detail doing road work noticed some people near Park and Jane streets, one of whom had a gun.
"Our officer drew his weapon, identified himself as a Bridgeport officer at this point," Perez says. "One of the individuals pointed a handgun at our police officer and shot at least five times at him."
Police say no one was hit, and the officers did not return fire.
News 12 is told the two suspects were later found inside a home on the 500 block of Noble Avenue. They were both arrested, and a gun was recovered.
