CCSU to eliminate golf teams, reduce athletic scholarships

Central Connecticut State University says it's eliminating 36 annual athletic scholarships, as well as the men's and women's golf teams.
According to the school, the move will save at least $2 million a year in an effort to allow the university to still participate in some Division 1 programs.
Officials say the cuts were a product of state budget cuts, as well as losses in program revenue.
