Car catches fire on I-95 in Westport

WESTPORT -

Westport firefighters were called to the scene of a car fire on I-95 overnight.

The fire happened between exits 18 and 17 heading south.

Officials say two people in the enflamed vehicle were able to get out of the car safely and fire officials were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

State police were also on scene to assist with traffic control.

All lanes on the parkway are now clear.
