Bridgeport family raising funeral funds for man who died of colon cancer

A Bridgeport family is reeling from the death of a loved one who died of colon cancer last week at age 24.
Kaheem Ludd died on Jan. 25. Relatives say he was a hardworking dad and beloved member of the community.
His doctor told the family that colon cancer in someone his age is unusual and recommended his children get early screenings for the illness.
Dr. Lee Forest says a recent American Cancer Society study found a sharp rise in colorectal cancer in young adults, prompting a call for healthier eating and more exercise to try and reverse that trend.
Doctors say an annual colon cancer screening is still recommended only people age 50 and older.
Ludd's family has created a GoFundMe page with a $5,000 goal to pay for his funeral expenses and take care of his two young daughters.
