Norwalk bar to throw Eagles-themed Super Bowl party

NORWALK -

BJ Ryan's in Norwalk is among countless bars around New England getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday -- although this one aims to please Eagles fans.

General manager Keith Torpey says the bar plans to throw a party filled with Philadelphia-themed songs and Philly cheesesteaks.

"I'll probably take the brunt of abuse from the opposing fans, but it'll be fun," Torpey says. "It'll create an atmosphere of competition and maybe build up some energy."

For Patriots fans, New England clam chowder remains on the menu.

At the Stew Leonard's in Norwalk, plenty of people were stocking up on food-related essentials for the big game. Employees recommend getting your shopping done as early as possible, since the store will only get busier as Sunday draws closer.
