DARIEN -

Drivers and commuters making their way through downtown Darien today should watch out for a traffic alert in town.

According to police, three successive traffic lights along Post Road at West Avenue, Tokeneke Road and Center Street will all be out from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

DOT crews will be working on the controller in that area.

Police say they will have extra officers on duty to direct traffic, but advise drivers to take alternate routes if possible.
