Police: East Haven man told victim he would help sell car, stole it instead

A man from East Haven is behind bars in Milford, charged with convincing a woman to let him help her sell her car, before stealing it.

According to police, Anthony Dagostino told the victim he would help her sell her car at an auction.

Police say Dagostino then took the car and never contacted her again.

Dagostino was also wanted for missing a scheduled court appearance.
