Parts of western Connecticut, such as Greenwich and Stamford, are already seeing effects from the nor'easter.

A viewer sent News 12 an image on Twitter out of Greenwich.

This is Overlook Drive with deep flooding on the street.

The winds are also causing problems across the area.

The Belltown Fire Department tweeted out this photo of a tree down on power lines on Vine Road, near Pepper Ridge Road in Stamford.

Multiple warnings, watches and advisories are in effect today.

News 12 Connecticut Meteorologist Matt Hammer says the rain will likely transition to snow throughout the day from the northwest to the southeast. Hammer says wind gusts during the afternoon hours could reach up to 50 mph.

South of the Merritt Parkway will see about 2-4 inches, north of the Merritt Parkway and up into Litchfield County will see between 4-8 inches, and northern Litchfield County could see up to 12 inches of snow.
