New Canaan crews spent Tuesday preparing for the incoming winter storm while some were still cleaning up from last Friday's nor'easter.
New Canaan has 13 salt trucks to pretreat the roads Tuesday night.
Some of the crews were removing downed trees from Friday's storm, which saturated the ground and weakened the trees' root systems.
"They've been going Friday, Saturday," said New Canaan Highway Superintendent Mose Saccary. "They worked till 12 Saturday night and they came in Sunday. They worked till about 5 Sunday."
In town, residents were out and about, enjoying the sunshine before the storm. Some said they weren't too worried about what's coming.
Wednesday's storm could bring up to 12 inches of snow to most of western Connecticut.
