Some auto body shops in western Connecticut are seeing an uptick in business after Wednesday's storm caused damage to vehicles.
Al Lobalbo, owner of Lobalbo Auto Body on Camp Street in Stamford, says nearly 20 damaged cars were brought to his three shops on Thursday alone.
The worst damage was done to a car that had a tree branch go right through the windshield and the steering column, totaling it. The car was in the owner's driveway at the time, but no one was inside.
Lobalbo says his crews are working seven days a week to keep up with demand.
"We're booked solid, you know, through the next three weeks," he says. "It's unbelievable, really."
Lobalbo adds that no one suffered any injuries related to the damage of the vehicles that came to the shop.
