LemonLaw.com has released a list of the top cars that received complaints, according to its car complaint index.
“What you have is the cars that received the most complaints per sale, which is a great tool when you’re looking to buy a car,” says automotive consumer advocate Michael Sacks.
According to the list, here are the top five cars and their chief complaints:
5. Tesla Model S
Main complaint: Lack of power
4. Chrysler Pacifica
Main complaint: Electrical system
3. Hyundai Santa Fe Sport
Main complaint: A lunging and lurching transmission
2. Chevy Volt
Main complaint: Issues with the parallel parking system and other new features.
“As we’ve always said, with new features come new problems,” says Sacks. “Unfortunately there may still be kinks that GM is working on.”
1. Mercedes B Class
Main complaint: Lack of power and stalling.
Sacks say that Mercedes is getting better at fixing the problem.
“Most of the complaints are in the ‘14 and ‘15 models. Very few complaints in the ’16 and ’17 models,” he says. “So there is a chance Mercedes Benz has fixed the kinks.”
