WESTPORT -

Police say two people from New York are facing charges after making fraudulent purchases around Westport.

Westport police were first alerted to the pair on Thursday when a liquor store employee phoned in a "suspicious" purchase that was made with a Visa gift card.

Investigators found the card was fraudulently manufactured.

The two suspects will appear before a judge on March 26.
