Police: Man threatened to bomb Trumbull High School

BRIDGEPORT -

Police say a man threatened to bomb Trumbull High School.

Rushab Momaya, 23, was arraigned Thursday at the Golden Hill courthouse in Bridgeport. His grandmother told News 12 outside the courthouse that he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has not taken his medication for a week.

When police went to his house Wednesday night, they say he told them that he does not own any weapons and was not going to blow up the school. He graduated from Trumbull High in 2011. A friend of his told police that he was bullied there.

Momaya posted a message saying he would bomb the school to his Facebook page Wednesday night, followed by another post that said "they deserve it."

A woman who works at Trumbull High says an email went out to faculty and parents saying there was a threat to the school but that everything was fine.

Momaya's lawyer says he is ordering a psychiatric evaluation for his client.

Momaya was held on a $100,000 bond and refused to sign all of his paperwork during booking. He's due back in court April 16.
