STRATFORD -

A Stratford man is free on bond after facing a federal judge on weapons and drug conspiracy charges.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Tymon Peterson bought two guns for another man who is a convicted felon.

The indictment says the two men came back the next day to buy another weapon, but the clerk got suspicious and called authorities.

Peterson is also charged with using his cellphone to talk about distributing drugs.
