Milford residents stock up on ham for Easter

Posted: Updated:
MILFORD -

The HoneyBaked Ham Company has seen a stream of customers coming in to buy food for their Easter dinners.

The store opened earlier than usual on Friday to accommodate the potential crowd.

Eating ham on Easter is a popular tradition in the Christian community. After weeks of fasting and not eating meat, it's common for families to have a big feast on Easter Sunday.

HoneyBaked offers a variety of hams that are fully cooked and ready to serve.

Employees say the holiday weekend is their busiest time selling hams for the year. They say they expected to sell a few thousand hams for the Easter weekend.
