Residents flock to Easter egg hunts held across CT

CONNECTICUT -

Connecticut residents got into the Easter spirit early this weekend.

Over 900 people attended the inaugural egg hunt in Mill River Park in Stamford.

The hunt had 3,000 eggs filled with candy and toys. There was also an Easter bag decorating station, glitter tattoos and games.

The Glenville Volunteer Fire Company also hosted their annual Easter egg hunt in Greenwich Saturday.

The Easter bunny made an appearance for all the kids that participated.

Children in Trumbull also came out to the town's annual Egg-stravaganza Egg Hunt on the town hall green.

Local food trucks were on site for attendees to enjoy.

Residents who attended were asked to donate food for the Trumbull Food Pantry.

In Cornwall, the town Park and Recreation department held an Ukrainian egg decorating event.

Instead of being painted, the eggs are colored and designed using a beeswax-resist method.
