Off-duty trooper saves overdosing man

An off-duty state trooper saved an overdosing man Sunday.

Trooper Matthew Hancock, of Troop G, responded to I-95 Northbound in Milford where a 22-year-old man was unresponsive with shallow breathing.

Other drivers were trying to help when the trooper used the Narcan he was carrying.

The man was able to regain consciousness and was sent to the hospital.

News 12 has been told that the man is OK.
