Police: 4 arrested after car chase ends in crash

NORWALK -

Four people were arrested after a police-involved car chase ended in a crash Tuesday night.

Fairfield police say it started in the area of Southport Ridge.

Officials responded to reports of a suspicious car and several people walking through the neighborhood who were if cars were unlocked.

Westport police then reported they were chasing the same car and that it had been stolen in Trumbull.

The Lexus crashed in Norwalk, and all four people inside were taken into custody.

Maya Jeter, of Bridgeport, and Christopher Mulkern, of Stratford, face a list of charges that include conspiracy, larceny and burglary.

Two juveniles were also arrested.

All four suspects were turned over to Fairfield police.
