Families enjoy spring temps at Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT -

The warm temperatures Friday helped bring plenty of families to the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport.

The sun not only brought out youngsters and their families, but the zoo's animals as well.

"The animals are out and it's really good," one person said. "It's really good animal weather."

A crowd favorite Friday was the red panda, which is what some young attendees said they came to see.

Staff members say next week the zoo will bring out its tiger cubs for the first time.

The zoo is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
