Parents in Norwalk got a lesson in car seat safety Sunday.
Yale New Haven Hospital teamed up with the Norwalk Police Department to hold a car seat check clinic and free booster seat distribution.
Parents came out to the fire station on Westport Avenue to learn from trained instructors on how to properly and safely install car seats.
Children who are 5 years old and over 40 pounds are eligible to ride in a booster seat, and experts hope more parents will utilize those seats.
