Some restaurant workers in Westport are protesting for the second time against a sushi restaurant they claim forced employees to work 36-hour shifts.

Workers say they filed a lawsuit against Matsu Sushi in January, after two workers said that they were fired after refusing to work the long shift. They announced the National Labor Board has issued a complaint against the owners for firing the workers.

Protesters say they want the owners to reinstate the two workers and pay them for lost wages.

"We hope that the community, which this restaurant is located, can support our fight as we're fighting for our rights," says former employee Liguo Ding.

News 12 reached out to the owners of the restaurant for comment, but have not heard back.
