A historic mansion in Bridgeport is displaying it's garden of flowers for spring.
The "Colorblends" House and Spring Garden on Clinton Avenue is bursting with thousands of daffodils, tulips and hyacinths.
The inside of the historical colonial mansion is also an attraction filled with works by local artists.
The winter weather that hung around for so long in March delayed the spring bloom by about 10 days, but organizers say they have no choice but to go with the flow.
"Spring comes when it happens and everything now looks really beautiful and it's coming on really strong," says Timothy Schipper, of Colorblends. "I think the worst thing is to have really hot weather and we've had nice cool weather – springs are ahead and some springs are behind."
“Colorblends” also has a wholesale flower bulbs warehouse on Barnum Avenue.
The mansion and garden is open to the public for tours until May 14.
