Hundreds take part in walk against sexual assault

Hundreds of people participated in the "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" Saturday morning in Fairfield.
Officials say 1,300 people took part in the annual walk hosted by the Center for Family Justice. It raises awareness and money to break the cycle of sexual assault and violence.
Some wore heels during the entire walk, including men.
The walk started at the Fairfield Train Station and traveled downtown before ending at Town Hall.
“Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” is in its sixth year. It is held every April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
