A truck carrying hazardous chemicals flipped on its side in Stamford Monday morning.
Officials said that a 18-wheeler truck tipped after making a wrong turn near Fairfield Avenue around 8 a.m.
The truck contained 39,000 pounds of flammable chemicals used to make Plexiglas.
"It’s a very flammable chemical methyl methacrylate," said Mike Robles, assistant chief of the Stamford Fire Department. "Nothing was leaking so we knew we had some time."
As a precaution, police blocked off streets in the industrial area and evacuated people.
The fire department returned the trailer back to its right side. They moved the truck to its original destination down the block.
Officials said that there were no injuries.
