About a dozen students in Greenwich joined teens across the country walking out of class to present the “other side” of the gun control debate.
The walkout, known as “Stand for the Second,” came about a month after tens of thousands of students across the country walked out in support of tighter gun control following the Parkland, Florida shooting.
At Greenwich High yesterday, protesters held up signs calling for Second Amendment protections.
A student told News 12, "The moment we keep dividing themselves in left and right stances is the moment we'll never realize and we'll never come to an agreement, because we're just so caught up in what we believe and what we think is right, as opposed to actually coming to find a solution together."
The protest comes days after a bill banning bump stocks advanced to the state Senate.
