STRATFORD -

A Stratford mom who set out to raise extra money for her family on Mother's Day says she got a big surprise when a group bought out her entire inventory.

Neca Geter was selling homemade lollipops and cupcakes at a booth on Boston Avenue.

The group said it was looking for merchandise with a Mother's Day theme to give to seniors in appreciation and support for all they do.

They donated the $400 worth of merchandise to grandmothers at local nursing homes.
