Connecticut celebrates National Prevention Week

HARTFORD -

Gov. Dannel Malloy proclaims this week as Prevention Week in Connecticut, joining a national movement.

The goal is to raise awareness for substance abuse and mental health issues.

A health and wellness fair was held at the state capitol in Hartford to kick off the week.

Other towns are holding similar events throughout the week to discuss the growing issue.
