This week's guest on Food Truck Friday is Callahan's, which is based in Norwood.
The original Callahan's opened as a fast-food restaurant in 1950. Since then, Daniel C. DeMiglio has taken over the family business and taken his grandfather's food on the road.
Callahan's also still has a brick and mortar location in Norwood on Broad Street.
Callahan's won three awards with (201) Magazine's Best of Bergen
Best Food Truck (Four years in a row in that category)
Best Hot Dog
Best Burger - Cap'N crunch Fried Chicken Burger
In April, they won Best Bacon Dish at Laurita Winery.
Truck 1 lives at Van Saun County Park in Paramus, located outside of the zoo entrance. The truck has been there for five years now.
Truck 2 travels to festivals, events and private catering.
The Mini Beast is the most popular catering for weddings. The bride and groom get custom shirts, and all food is handed out in the classic cars.
Callahan's has a Food Network Show ready to air in the early summer, as well as a Travel Channel show for late summer.
