Large crowds expected at newly renovated Compo Beach this holiday weekend

Locals expect a huge turnout at Compo Beach this holiday weekend and many credit that to the recent renovations.
The pavilion recently received a new roof and added picnic tables.
New bathrooms were installed and more parking and sidewalks were added.
Residents say this makes Compo even more attractive, so they aren't surprised that more people are buying passes than last year.
"The town is caring for the beach, and providing us with more facilities with better bathrooms and the beautiful pavilion and sidewalks. It's just being friendlier to families and friends," says Leslie Gallant, Friends of Compo Beach.
After the renovations prices went up about $10 for Westport residents.
