The Allerton Library just can't get enough of 90-year-old Marion Hughes, as it unveils her latest exhibit -- bread art.
Bronx native Hughes says she's been sculpting clay since she was 4 years old, but years ago she found new material to work with thanks to her late husband.
"He got this book on making flowers out of bread. We went home, we tried it, we liked it, and then I got the idea to do other things," says Hughes.
Hughes hopes her wide range of creations inspire children to get their creativity flowing, which is why the library placed her exhibit outside the children's room. Hughes explains that she hopes children understand that art can be created from anything -- even bread.
