Stamford realtors gave back to the community with some scholarships for deserving students.

The Stamford Board of Realtors awarded $11,000 in scholarships to 12 graduating seniors.

Students were chosen based on their strong community and school service in addition to their leadership skills.

They say they are grateful for the opportunity and appreciate the support from the community. 

“A lot of us have put in a lot of time doing community service, volunteering in Stamford, so it’s really great to have an organization give back to us for our hard work,” said scholarship recipient Elizabeth Denmarkey.

The board has been giving out scholarships for about 25 years, and members say it’s hard to choose just a dozen students.
