After recent controversy, Facebook is making it easier to manage personal information.
Once users access their privacy settings they can change things like who can see their personal information and what apps can access their account.
Alexa users may be surprised to know that Amazon stores every request made to the device. While history can be deleted from the Amazon app, there is no way to turn the recording off.
Amazon may also have a record of every product shoppers have looked at. Online shoppers do have the option to delete individual items or turn their history off completely.
Google often saves all of its users searches, including videos searched for on YouTube.
The search engine also knows everywhere a Google Maps user has been. Google uses that knowledge to make automatic travel suggestions. Privacy options are available in the account settings section of the app.
