Police: Parking garage break-ins cause Norwalk street closure

Posted: Updated:
NORWALK -

A heavy police presence shut down part of a Norwalk road overnight.

Several police vehicles and at least one K-9 were on the scene on West Avenue near Merwin Street due to apparent vehicle break-ins at a parking garage, according to police.

Police say a witness saw one suspect leave in a car and another was still possibly inside the garage.

They searched all six levels of the garage, and did not find any suspects.

Police have since left the scene.
