Surveillance video shows Coney Island assault, stabbing

<p>Police are searching for five people who they say were involved in a double stabbing in Coney Island Monday.</p>

Police have released surveillance video showing the assault and stabbing of two men near the Coney Island boardwalk.
The incident happened Monday after a 17-year-old boy and 21-year-old man were stabbed when they tried to intervene in a fight at the corner of Stillwell Avenue and Riegelman Boardwalk West.
Police released surveillance video that shows the suspects punch and kick the two victims as well as strike them with objects.
Police say one suspect stabbed the 17-year-old boy in the stomach and back. The 21-year-old was cut in the cheek and ear.
The surveillance video also shows another suspect striking the man with a beach umbrella.
Both victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
