CrossFit Kids Program kicks off in Stratford

Stratford police are making sure kids stay fit and have fun this summer!
The Stratford Police Activities League's CrossFit Kids program kicked off Monday.
The exercise program is geared toward elementary and middle school students.
The goal is to get kids moving and enjoying exercising.
Sgt. Jamie Rivera says it gets kids more involved and gets them to work together.
“Basically, it incorporates a whole bunch of movements and it makes it more fun than just dragging yourself basically to a gym just to get a workout in,” says Rivera.
The six-week program will meet three times a week at the Stratford Police Department.
