Bridgeport PD: 14-year-old arrested after stolen car chase in Black Rock

Posted: Updated:
BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport police say a 14-year-old boy led them on a high-speed chase Tuesday in a Buick Century stolen during an armed home invasion a day earlier.

Police nabbed the teen after he pulled into a driveway on Grovers Street in Black Rock. He tried to run on foot, according to authorities, but could not escape.

They say they found crack cocaine in his pockets.

The same teen was allegedly involved in a separate incident last week where he threatened and tried to rob the victim.

Police say there was a minor accident during the chase, but no one was hurt.

Several local police departments say they are working together to crack down on juvenile crime and stolen vehicles.
