Firefighters injured after Thursday’s storms cause fire

Lightning was one major issue during Thursday’s storms which left a few firefighters injured on the job.
Fire crews were called to a house in Norwalk on Thistle Road after the roof was reportedly struck by lightning.
Officials say there was heavy fire damage to the first floor and attic, and smoke damage to the rest of the home. Everyone inside, including two cats made it out safely.
News 12 is told one firefighter was injured when part of the ceiling fell. He suffered a minor cut to his face and a minor back injury.

This incident happened on Mill Hill Road.
Officials say he was taken to the hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries to his face.
The cause of that fire is being investigated.
