Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Planned Parenthood are announcing a push to protect Roe v. Wade.
The organization says it is concerned that Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement could overturn the ruling because he was the swing vote that protected Roe v. Wade.
On Monday, Blumenthal said he is working with Republicans to make sure whoever gets the job will not overturn abortion rights.
"I will tell you, from my conversations with my Republican colleagues, there are a good three, four or five who would have very, very serious reservations about voting for a justice who would overturn Roe v. Wade. It is settled law,” said Blumenthal.
President Donald Trump says he will announce his pick for the Supreme Court next Monday.
