New Jersey mother, daughter compete in hot dog eating contest

A mother and daughter from New Jersey both competed in the annual Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest Wednesday.
Montville Superintendent Rene Rovtar and her daughter, Kristina, are the first mother-daughter duo to take part.
It was Rene's second time competing, but this year, her daughter wanted in on the challenge.
"Being the first mother daughter made it more special in a way,” says Kristina. “Just because my mom and I do tend to do a lot of things together. So it was fun that we got share in this little part of history as well." "This was way out there."
Rene finished six and a half hot dogs.
Kristina ate five.
