More than five years after the Sandy Hook shooting, one family continues to honor their fallen son's competitive spirit.
The fifth annual Race4Chase Triathlon took place in Wolfe Park in Monroe.
It was put on by the Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski Foundation, which focuses on health and wellness of families through athletics.
Kids got an opportunity to swim, race around the park and bike. Over 140 signed up to participate in this year's event.
All proceeds go to the foundation which also benefits programs at the YMCA.
