The former Asbury Park official killed after a fire ripped through a row of town homes Monday afternoon has been identified.
The fire happened on Park Ave.
The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office has confirmed the death of James Famularo, 52.
His wife, Shonna, was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
She survived with injuries that are not life threatening.
James was a former assistant city manager in Asbury Park.
His wife ran for city council back in 2013.
There is no word yet on exactly where James was found inside, why he couldn't escape in time, or if smoke alarms were working.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
