Palace Theatre receives $90K in new lighting, sound equipment from donor

The iconic Palace Theatre in Stamford held its summer Sponsor Appreciation Party Tuesday, giving special thanks and recognition to a local donor.
Harman International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, donated $90,000 worth of cutting-edge light and sound equipment that will help keep up with technological changes in the world of show business.
News 12 is told that the donation will fund the addition of LED lighting and moving lights, something that visitors routinely look for. Employees say the new technology will bring the theater up to date.
In recognition of the company’s generosity, Harman has been named the Palace's season sponsor for three years.
The new equipment is expected to be installed within the next month.
