FAIRFIELD -

Two good Samaritans are being credited with helping save a woman trapped inside a burning car.

The car caught fire after an accident on I-95 around noon Wednesday.

Fairfield officials say a Bridgeport man and a state conservation officer driving by each got out and removed the woman as smoke began to fill the car.

The two stayed with the woman until an ambulance arrived.
