Man arrested after stabbing in Brownsville

One person is in custody after an argument turned violent in Brownsville Friday morning, leaving two people injured.
Police say that stabbing was all over rent money.
They tell News 12 a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the back on Powell Avenue and a 58-year-old woman was cut on her finger.
Police say the woman cut is the girlfriend of the man in custody and that charges are pending.
"He was like 'I know you have my rent money' so then he just took out a knife and started stabbing for no reason. Blood was gushing everywhere. He has multiple stabbings all over his body and it was devastating," says Nia Brown, a friend of the victim.
Both victims are expected to be ok.
