Greenwich man accused of leaving dog in hot SUV

STAMFORD -

A Greenwich man is charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly left his dog inside his hot SUV and went to dinner.

Police say Michel Guite, 73, left his dog inside the vehicle in the Stamford Town Center.

Firefighters tried to open the window but the dog became too agitated.

Guite came back about 90 minutes later, telling authorities he went to dinner and does this all the time.
