BRIDGEPORT -

Police arrested two people after a chase ended with a crash in Bridgeport.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say they tried pulling over a vehicle in connection with reports of a stolen gun. The car, which traveled to Stratford and back, eventually lost control and crashed into the front porch of a multifamily home at the corner of Newfield Avenue and Smith Street, causing serious damage.

After the crash, police say two suspects -- one adult and one juvenile, tried to run on foot but were caught and arrested.

Officers say the stolen gun was recovered from the car.
