A local food pantry is urging residents to not forget about the hungry during the summer vacation months.
The Sterling House in Stratford says it's in dire need of staples, including rice, beans, pasta and breakfast foods.

Fresh produce is also welcomed.
Staff say it’s all about helping out their neighbors in need.
"It’s a project, but it’s something we are committed to, hoping that the folks will be able to continue to join us on this fight against hunger really that's what is boils down to," says Samuel Jimenez of resource counseling.
