Police say a man is in the hospital Thursday morning in Bridgeport after being shot overnight.
The shooting happened near Artic and Pembroke streets around 12:30a.m. Thursday.
Police say the 29-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with two gunshot wounds; one to his leg and one to his backside.
Officials say the victim was not far from where he lives on Arctic Street when he was shot walking with his headphones on.
Police also say several shell casings and a bag of suspected marijuana were recovered at the scene.
Residents say he was allegedly targeted by people on bikes who took off, but police have not confirmed that information.
Another resident says she heard five or six gunshots.
Police say the victim's injuries are not life threatening, and currently don't have any suspects in custody.
Anyone with information can reach Bridgeport police at 203-576-TIPS.
